The Whistler,
a two-story, neoclassical wood frame residence, is one of the oldest
homes in Walker County, and is situated on three acres of land just
north of downtown Huntsville, home of Texas hero Sam Houston. The

and oak trees, some of which are older than the house itself. Our
guests can't resist the peacefulness of the front porch where they
